Deer Creek HOA Annual Meeting – November 15, 2018

The annual meeting was called to order at 7 pm by VP Schneider at the Players Club facility at 120th and Deer Creek Drive.

Board members were introduced.

Tim Halpine the GM of the Players Club gave an update on the club and its activities. He stated that as of that day all bunker renovations were completed. He added that all golf and social memberships were basically full and probably would have some changes due to moves etc but there was a waiting list. He also answered several questions from the members on other renovations that the club has been working on.

Board Elections: There were 7 people that had previously committed to running for the board for the 2019 year, and VP Schneider asked several times if there was anyone else from the floor that would like their name placed into nominations and there no further nominations. Since there were 7 people running for 7 positions a motion was M&S to elect the 7 nominees by acclimation. The motion passed. The HOA Board for 2019 will be: John Bourne Jim Busse Marlene Schneider Bryan Brabec Steve Schmitz Robert Trant Katey Lenczowski.

Secretaries Report: John Bourne read the minutes of the 2017 annual meeting.

Treasurers Report: Katey Lenczowsksi gave an update on the 2018 HOA financials as well as presented the 2019 budget that the board had previously approved. She answered several questions from the members.

ARC Committee Report: Kathy Moran introduced the ARC Mary Deer Brain Choquette Tom Eilers Annette Sayers and talked of several issues including sign removal (elections) Christmas lights installation and illuminations as well as gave special recognition to Jesse Staham who is retiring as chair of the ARC after many years of service.

Welcome Committee: Marlene Schneider gave an update from the welcome committee.

2018 accomplishments: Bryan Brabec gave a report on what the HOA Board has done over the last year.

Deer Creek Website: Bourne gave a presentation on the new HOA website. Right now about 150 people are signed up. He answered several questions from the members as well as several recommendations from the floor that the board will consider. Bourne also thanked Judy Smith for her website work in the past that has keep residents informed as the neighborhood has grown.

New Business: Alisha Scott gave a report on proposals that the board will be working on as they move into 2019. There were several suggestions from the members, some possible do-able and some that are not HOA areas. Good discussion ensued on all items.

Q&A from Members: Marlene Schneider and Bob Ostronic answered several questions from the floor. There were several issues brought forward that the board will look into and investigate. Michael Purdy, who is the President of the Deer Creek Highlands HOA, introduced himself and explained that he and his board are looking into and working on “golf cart neighborhood” rules and regs. There was discussion on golf carts in the neighborhood as well.

Bob Ostronic was thanked for his years of service as a board member.

Being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:40pm
